Little World, originally uploaded by foodiegraphy.

Visiting the little world in Hamburg...I was careful as not to crush them as they were smaller than my pinky :)

HEAL THE WORLD

There's A Place In Your Heart And I Know That It Is Love
And This Place Could Be Much Brighter Than Tomorrow
And If You Really Try You'll Find There's No Need To Cry
In This Place You'll Feel There's No Hurt Or Sorrow

There Are Ways To Get There, If You Care Enough For The Living
Make A Little Space, Make A Better Place...

Heal The World, Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me, And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying, If You Care Enough For The Living
Make A Better Place, For You And For Me

If You Want To Know Why, There's A Love That Cannot Lie
Love Is Strong It Only Cares For Joyful Giving
If We Try We Shall See, In This Bliss We Cannot Feel
Fear Or Dread We Stop Existing And Start Living

Then It Feels That Always, Love's Enough For Us Growing
So Make A Better World, Make A Better World...

Heal The World
Make It A Better Place, For You And For Me And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying, If You Care Enough For The Living
Make A Better Place, For You And For Me

And The Dream We Were Conceived In, Will Reveal A Joyful Face
And The World We Once Believed In, Will Shine Again In Grace
Then Why Do We Keep Strangling Life, Wound This Earth Crucify Its Soul
Though It's Plain To See, This World Is Heavenly
Be God's Glow

We Could Fly So High, Let Our Spirits Never Die
In My Heart I Feel You Are All My Brothers
Create A World With No Fear,Together We'll Cry Happy Tears
See The Nations Turn Their Swords Into Plowshares

We Could Really Get There, If You Cared Enough For The Living
Make A Little Space, To Make A Better Place...

Heal The World
Make It A Better Place, For You And For Me And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying, If You Care Enough For The Living
Make A Better Place, For You And For Me

You And For Me

The One with the Brownies

brownies, originally uploaded by foodiegraphy.

I made some brownies. It needs more improvements but I was happy it worked out the first time I tried it. I guess I have to tweak some of the ingredients to get the right texture. I didn't have enough chocolate melts to make the ganache to I put some white chocolate instead. :) Next time round I'll make it into a fudge brownie and will surely make the ganache.

The One with the Eagle

Crested Serpent Eagle, originally uploaded by foodiegraphy.

Sighted an eagle on the way to work. Since 18-200mm was the only zoom lens available (so far :)), I took the shot anyway. It was sitting on a cable, pressed the honk of my car, it jolted and looked back, that's when i took the shot. Heh...it was not that good of a pic but how often can you spot an eagle around when you have your camera along...why not ;)

The One with the XP installation.

I 've installed Linux and Windows XP for dual boot before but I've never installed XP with Vista. It was a bit of a head scratcher ar first, not knowing why you are not able to see your pre installed Vista after the XP was installed.

Initially, i created a second partition for the XP but decided to try to restore a partition image of Windows XP using Norton Ghost instead of installing XP from scratch. Click here, click there, and in about 10 minutes the ghost image was successfully restored. Funny thing was, during the restoration process the time remaining continued to countdown til the number was negative.
Strange..but nevetheless the restoration was a success. Rebooted the machine and the dual boot option came up...unfortunately upon selecting Windows XP it went back to reboot the machine. Since this method required alot more troubleshooting; what with all the dealing with ntldr, booting back to vista and setting the bootloader and etc..I decided to install XP from scratch. When trying to setup however this message came out:

Back to square one. Luckily, in this era, the era of technology, the wonders of the internet has enabled us to explore the wide options of resources out there on the web. After reading through some good forums and blogs...here's the deal:

The SATA operation on the DELL laptop I was working on had SATA Operation on AHCI. Set this to ATA to enable XP to recognize the harddisk, and in order for this to be possible, the Flash Cache Module had to be switched off as well. and Walla! Setup for XP was possible again :) After the setup was completed, there was no dual boot screen and it simply boot straight to Windows XP. This is what is supposed to happen. All we need to do is to restore the Vista bootloader so Vista can be recognised again. End of story. Happy ending. Oh yes, here's one of the good links on How to dual boot Vista and XP (with Vista pre-installed) :

A little bit..

I never liked to cook, I used to take photos that end up overexposed, blurred or simply boring. I was never good with computers, nor was I good with English and I simply am not good with composition. But here's the thing:

- I love food!
- I like browsing through photo blogs and enjoy the wonderful photos that people capture, i like the idea that they are not just click n snap. It needs understanding, skills, and creativity to produce a beautiful photo.
- I like the fact that computers - in a way help us make the two things I pointed out possible to love. Internet. Organising and keeping your recipes (that someday you yearn to try out). Photoshop. and the list goes on.

So here's where I am now. This is what the blog represents. The obstacles I face, the photos that prove them ;) or simply posting anything that relate to the things I dont use to like.
